Michael B.

Like many young people, Michael spent much of his early life pursuing the things of the world, never imagining how dramatically his life would change.

July 30, 2026 - 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM EDT

Michael serves as the youth  pastor at Beth Shalom Church in Brooklyn, New York. Born in Armenia, he immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of eight.

At the age of 25, Michael had a serious diving accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down. While recovering in the hospital, a Christian prayer group visited him and shared the hope of Jesus Christ. As he wrestled with the physical and emotional challenges of his new reality, Michael came to faith in Christ and surrendered his life to Him.

From that moment on, God began a remarkable work in Michael's life. He regained some movement in his arms, experienced healing from other complications related to his injury, and, more importantly, found new purpose and hope in Christ. Although he continues to live as a quadriplegic and uses a wheelchair, Michael has never allowed this obstacle to stop him. Instead, he has devoted his life to serving God in any way he can. He also travels throughout the East Coast, sharing his testimony with churches and encouraging people of all ages to trust in God's faithfulness. Michael's life is a powerful example of God taking a tragedy and turning it into a blessing.
